Sport for Development (S4D) programs require careful planning to achieve meaningful social impact. This course introduces the essentials of designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating S4D initiatives. It guides participants through key concepts such as preparing a Theory of Change, identifying program components, and setting up effective monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to track progress and outcomes.
This course is designed for practitioners, program managers, trainers and students who are involved in planning, implementing and/or evaluating Sport for Development initiatives. It is also relevant for development sector professionals, CSR professionals, government officials, policy makers, social workers as well as researchers who have limited insight into S4D, but want to strengthen their understanding of program design, monitoring and evaluation within the S4D context.
This course involves self-paced learning where participants engage with text-based content, case studies, infographics, and links to further readings. From the time of your first login, you will be provided a time period of two weeks to complete the course. The course is designed for learners to complete within 10 hours.
